Salon Services
What Our Clients Say

'Salon1336 is fantastic. It can take a girl a very long time, if ever at all, to find a salon she can rely on. I've been a customer there now for 4 years and not once have I considered trying somewhere else. The team - their skill and expertise is exceptional. They're friendly, helpful and always give good, honest advise. I'd recommend Salon1336 to anyone out there who wants a good hair day.'

Mind expert gives salon head start

Wednesday, 30 September 2009

A chain of local hair salons has employed the services of a neuro-linguistic programmer to help grow the business.

Natalie and Stuart Cranston, who own Salon 1336 in Winton and Parkstone, have used Train to Gain funding to appoint business mentor Harvey Taylor.

The qualified hypnotherapist and neuro-linguistic programmer is working with staff as a business mentor to help undo negative learned behaviours and give them strategies for reacting well in challenging situations.

Natalie said: “This has made a huge difference to our business – it has given us a clear plan of action and equipped Stuart and I with the skills we need to manage the team well. “Our sessions with Harvey have taught us to understand how other staff members perceive a situation and that enables us to tailor our approach. We now set our staff clear goals and have a tree of success chart in the office which maps their career progression and reminds them what they can achieve.”

The Winton branch was recently made a hairdressing academy and it’s that accreditation from the government’s Train to Gain programme which provided a test case Leadership Management Fund to help Salon 1336 appoint Harvey.

He’s recently delivered customer-service training and Salon 1336 will continue to work with him as the business faces new challenges.

Natalie added: “As a business we take great care to appoint staff who represent us well and we’re proud of our team. This training is about enabling us all to be the best we can be to give customers the best possible experience and help the business to flourish.”
